Vanessa Sparks is the owner operator of WebBasics and has over ten years experience in computer programming.
Born and raised in the beautiful heritage city of Dunedin in New
Zealand, Vanessa studied Information Technology and Marketing
Management at University of Otago graduating with a Bachelor of
Commerce in 1996.
Employment with University of Otago for almost seven years and a short
term contract with the Department of Education and Training in Sydney
Australia, saw Vanessa working with performance critical software
applications managing student and course information and later
developing online learning applications used to assist student
training.
A desire
to be self employed prompted Vanessa to work from home and start her
own website development business. While producing various websites for
small businesses in Dunedin, she was also contracted for larger
internet based development projects by University of Otago and one of
New Zealand's largest newspapers, The Otago Daily Times.
In 2006,
Vanessa moved with her husband to the Sunshine Coast, Australia to be
with family and spent a short time working for a website development
business in Maroochydore.
After
establishing WebBasics in early 2007, Vanessa found herself highly
involved with the development of a suite of social networking websites
for a dynamic family owned and operated company in Caboolture and
continues to provide website services to various businesses on the
Sunshine Coast and in New Zealand.
